Above the Dunes

It was a great experience we made reservations and were able to sit outside which is great because it’s loud and dark inside. The hostesses all seemed zoned out but they were nice and seated us quickly. Our waiter was sooo sassy. We all felt scared to ask him for anything because when we did he would look at us blankly and be like “yes, we can do that……” like we had just asked the dumbest question in the world. This was to EVERYTHING we said/asked. I realized it was just his personality and accepted the sassy guy he is and then we enjoyed our meal. The food was served super fast! And it was excellent. We tipped him very well and then his whole attitude changed like a light switch and he even said a friendly bye to us when we left which we lowkey loved. We will be coming back for sure based on this experience. I’ll be positive and say Mr.Sassy added special character and spice to our dinner. It did make it memorable!

I came to Rehoboth Beach in the off season to do some exploring, and found this place on google. It had a super nice sort of modern beach vibe inside. The real draw is the deck outside. I was there from 11 to probably 4 having a great time, watching the people walk around. Super good time. Phillip my server was attentive without hovering. I really enjoyed my fried calamari ($19). The spicy thai dipping sauce was just the right amount of spicy for me. I also enjoyed my crab cake sandwich ($28). The limoncello spritz was nothing to write home about, so I switched to beer after that. Happy hour starts at 1:00 pm, and the beer is a dollar off which is a great deal. I definitely recommend it.

We had a fantastic experience at Above The Dunes! The panoramic ocean views from upstairs are absolutely stunning and set the perfect relaxing vibe for a great meal by the beach.
Our server, Michelle, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and provided top-notch service from start to finish. She really made our visit enjoyable and took great care of us.
The oyster happy hour was a highlight! Fresh, flavorful oysters at a fantastic price—definitely worth it. We also loved the crushes—they were delicious, perfectly balanced, and so refreshing. Everything we tried hit the mark.
Between the beautiful setting, attentive service, and great food and drinks, Above The Dunes is a winner. Whether you're stopping in for happy hour or a full meal, this spot delivers. Highly recommend, especially if you're in the Dewey/Rehoboth area. We'll definitely be back!
