Coldwell Banker Premier - Vacation Rentals

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience.
We secured a beach house rental for June and were explicitly told multiple times that a “hold was in place and the rental was secure”. We provided requested information, were told a lease would be sent within a few weeks, and followed up in good faith when it didn’t arrive. Each time, we were reassured that the lease was coming and that our reservation was secure.
After weeks of waiting and multiple follow-ups, we were finally informed that the house was no longer available.
This lack of follow-through and communication caused significant stress and left us scrambling after believing we had a confirmed rental. If a property is not truly being held, that should be communicated clearly and honestly upfront.
I would not recommend relying on assurances without a lease in hand.

I rented a home in Rehoboth Beach Delaware for six months and put the money upfront, including a $500 deposit for a pet. I was never told the owner had allergies to dogs and if so, I would never have signed a pet addendum Or rented the property. The pet addendum is a scam. Whoever signs a pet addendum and puts money up to this realtor, kiss your money goodbye. Why would someone that has allergies to dogs, Let someone rent the residence with a dog? Not only did I lose my $500 deposit for the dog, they took an additional $75 from my home deposit for a total of $575 for someone to come and clean the carpets and upholstery.

Upon arrival, the trashcan and receptacle were overflowing, and it was another week until the trash was To be collected again.

The last two months of our stay, there was an ungodly septic smell in this house. It took several. Visits from a plumber to figure out what the smell was in this house. This was a two month period which we were subject to foul septic like smell in the guest bathroom. We could not have guest at the house because of this. The owners of this house were very unreasonable.

As I said, in the beginning, if you rent from Caldwell bankers and have to sign a pet addendum, you will not get your money back. There is a clause in there that suggest if your pets could have fleas. (Not that they did or ever have) They can take your deposit to use for cleaning. Renters beware!!!!

Our new community is everything that we don't have now, and we wouldn't have known of it without Dave. We've referred several of our neighbors to Dave, which I'm sure will result in several additional thrilled customers of Dave. 5 stars, 10 out of 10 and nothing we would change re:: Dave's assistance of both our sale and new home purchase!
