Country Kitchen

Great spot for homemade breakfast. The place is very busy with ample parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was decent with plenty of options. We were seated within 10 minutes and the line started forming. Very friendly atmosphere and awesome pancakes. Definitely will visit again.

We used to come here all the time. Great food and service. We went tonight- there were two tables in the restaurant. They tried sitting us at a dirty booth, I made them aware and we sat at the booth next to it. 10 minutes later, we were finally greeted. 7 minutes later, we finally got our drinks. I ordered the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. My husband and I’s chicken noodle soup was barely warm. We then get our meals. Two bites into my corn, and I feel something in my mouth that I thought was plastic. No, it was a STAPLE, and not a closed one- both ends were sticking straight up. I immediately brought it to the servers attention, handed her the staple, who then said she would report it to the kitchen. I asked for a togo containers at that point, I had no appetite, not to mention my BP was through the roof because of what COULD have happened. The server came back to make us aware they were giving us a “discount” off of my meal for the staple….and no, the meal was not taken off.

Long story short, breakfast is an entirely different staff and quality of food than dinner. We love going there and have never had a problem!

This was our second visit to Country Kitchen and our experience was a great as our first. The staff, menu and service are first rate. I liked that the hostess asked for our drink order when we were first seated. Our server was a delight... she was personable and provided excellent service. The food was prepared promptly and was excellent with good sized quantities. We live about 20 miles away but did go out of our way to visit. Always a delight!
