Fenwick Shores, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
We had a great time staying at this hotel. It was way less crowded than the resorts in ocean city, which we preferred due to our young kids. They had a beautiful, small rooftop pool (perfect for small kids but can get a little crowded). It’s a 2 min walk to the beach.
Our room was beautiful but I gave it only 4 stars because the bathroom was just ok. Our shower/tub combo had hard water (pink/brown) stains in the grout. I didn’t like that the bathroom flooring was the same as the back wall of the tub (appeared as vinyl, not tile). The real tile was on the small sides of the tub. There was a giant hole cut out of the ceiling and repaired (eye sore). When we first got there, there was hair stuck in the handle bar in the shower. I told the guy at the front desk, who was wonderful and cleaned it right away.
The shower head was somewhat messy to deal with but tolerable for the week we stayed. I would not book a room with a tub again, I would just get a standing shower.
One towel hanger was falling off the wall. There weren’t many places to hang towels but room service was great and we got fresh towels every day, as well as our beds made. Workers were very nice and helpful.
The main lobby area was beautiful. Hallways and public rest rooms were clean. Our kitchenette was great.
Beautiful location- loved the restaurants nearby and water park. They had free tickets to mini golf at the front desk. Loved that the parking was under the hotel and completely in the shade. They also have a mermaid at the pool on Tuesdays and Friday’s for kiddos. If we travel to this area, we will stay here again; we just wouldn’t get a tub and hopefully the standing showers will be nicer.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. With its proximity to the beach you would have thought it would be dirty or dingy but it was cleaned daily and the inevitable sandy bed linens were changed daily as well. Madelyn and Melissa at the front desk were above and beyond gracious to us. Only wish we could have stayed longer and that there was more staff at the rooftop bar but will be back!

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing.
1) The staff was almost nonexistent, and when I did find someone, they were unresponsive.
2) My room wasn’t cleaned at all on the first day (“missed,” in their words).
3) As for the “sunset view” promised in the booking description, it turned out to be a view of the Sherwin-Williams Paints store—which the staff seemed to know about, but they still advertise it as a sunset view.
This was definitely not your typical Hilton experience - it honestly felt like a bad joke. I ended up staying for three nights only because I was visiting a family member nearby; otherwise, I would have left.
Overall: The staff’s lack of presence and professionalism was clear from the start. They were rarely at the front desk, didn’t answer phone calls, and when I was finally able to speak with someone, my concerns were dismissed with no effort to help or even acknowledge that the guest matters. On top of that, my room was not clean, there was dust and mold in it, both surprising and unacceptable at any hotel-let alone one that claims to be a Hilton. What frustrated me most was just how misleading the booking description was. So many details simply didn’t match reality. This is not a Hilton in the way anyone would expect based on their standards. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I really hope management takes these issues seriously for future guests. If you have other options, I strongly suggest staying elsewhere.
