Fish On

Fish On is a treasure hidden in a modern housing/business development off of the main highway between Lewis and Rehoboth. We discovered it by accident a couple years ago and now it is a regular stop whenever we are on vacation at the shore.
normally, I like to try something new every time I go to a restaurant until I have sample the entire menu. But their fish and chips is so excellent, I have to order it every time I’m there.
Service is always excellent and we are not neglected even when the place is really hopping. The managers always take time to come over and check on us.
I appreciate that they have a selection of beers brewed locally and that is one thing I try a different item every time we are there.
This year we had superb weather so we really enjoy the outdoor dining. if you are too hot, the staff will bring you a little fan. If you are too cold, they will bring you a little heater.
Since this is off the beaten track, you will have to trust Google maps to get you there. But it is well worth the side trip from busy US Route one. And and it is a good alternative to the busy and overpriced restaurants in the tourist towns.

My mom recommended we try Fish On, and I’m so glad she did. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service. The calm, relaxing setting makes it an excellent choice for a pleasant dining experience.

The front bar and dining room have a great vibe, cozy but lively. We were seated in the large back room. The atmosphere was cold. It was like a "Tale of Two Cities". The service was excellent. A large group of approximately 15 to 16 people came in and took over the dining room like it was a private party. While they didn't mean to take up so much space, they stood up talking to each other for a prolonged time, making conversation all but impossible for the rest of us. The fish tacos were tasty but quite dry and needed more spicy mayo. The crab cakes were generously portioned. The apple pie and creme brulee were very good . My wine was excellent. The tempura cheesecake was slightly greasy and the end was frozen. The restaurant is very popular and reservations are highly recommended.
