Gallery One is a fine art gallery owned and operated by a group of local artists hailing from the Maryland and Delaware shore area. The Gallery was established in 2005 and moved to its current location in 2009, where it nearly doubled its exhibit space. More than twenty-two artists and artisans fill the space with original work and fine art reproductions ranging from paintings and multi-media flat art, to glass, photography, pottery, sculpture and textiles. The interior of the gallery belies its simple exterior, boasting a subtle and sophisticated setting to complement the beauty of its contents.

The sixteen artist/owners offer a wide variety of styles and mediums. Subject matter covers a broad spectrum ranging from local scenery and seascapes to studies of the European countryside; floral, still lifes, figures, portraits and surreal renderings, are all offered in traditional and contemporary treatment. The gallery is refreshed on an ongoing basis, and the entire space is re-hung once a month to ensure that customers are treated to the most recent and best work available. A special theme exhibit is displayed each month, in which each of the artist/owners display a painting representing his/her unique approach to a single topic.

Classes and workshops are held throughout the year for artists of all experience levels, and are taught by resident artists as well as well-known local, national and international instructors. Recent offerings have included watercolor, oil, sculpture, dichroic glass, collage and drawing, as well as open studio sessions and drop-in workshops with a life model.

This place is full of beautiful and unique art—everything from abstract paintings to handmade jewelry. Each piece feels so personal and creative, and you can really sense the love that goes into it. The group of artists who run the gallery are just as warm, welcoming, and full of that down-to-earth, creative energy you’d expect from a tribe of hippie-spirited coastal creatives. I could honestly spend hours in there, happily wandering through the art and chatting with Eileen, Cheryl, Laura, or any of the lovely ladies. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

This small artist-run gallery is awesome. It's great to chat with the artists who are working. The theme changes monthly. The beautiful artwork is affordable. Plus there is a great little shop to purchase all kinds of great artwork in various forms, my favorite being the jewelry. A must go to when in the area!

A lovely gallery featuring local artwork from very talented artists in oil's, watercolors, pastels and acrylics. I'm always sure to stop every time I'm in Rehoboth.They also have pottery, jewelry, photography, mosaics and weaving. The artists that work in the gallery are always a delight and happy to answer questions.
