Took a hike at the James Farm Ecological Preserve. Beautiful view and amazing wildlife. Headed towards the beach and captured lots of Memories... If you are in the area a must stop. Let Nature and wildlife be your guide. We only went on one trail. Can't wait to go back and try the other trails. Didn't get enough pictures of the birds especially the hawks. There is always nextime. The best part of the trip was it was all free...

We come to Delaware every summer and it was our first time visiting the preserve. It was a perfect quiet morning away from the beach. My daughter and I walked a few paths, which were nicely shaded and relatively flat. We rented kayaks and enjoyed the bay. The water is pretty calm and the bottom is all sand. I wish we would have found this place when our kids were little.

I really enjoyed this beautiful little slice of nature. There are a few walking trails that are quiet and peaceful here, one of them even led to a cool deck that overlooked the marshland! Its a dog friendly park (on a leash), very easy to walk, but not paved. There are bathrooms, an information station, and wildlife! I was just looking to get away for some peace and this place absolutely hit the mark. Bring a dollar or two for the donation box!
