Lori's Cafe

We came here for brunch on a Monday at the end of May. We really were just looking for coffee and found this on google maps as we were walking to find some. There was somewhat of a line to order when we arrived but they kept it moving. We ordered coffee and some sandwiches. The portion sizes were pretty big. The coffee was good. food had good flavor. The young woman delivering food to the tables was cheerful. There was plenty of seating. I noticed they are dog friendly and had a little bucket of dog biscuits sitting out. Prices were reasonable. We walked from the hotel but I think the parking is metered on the street. The menu had breakfast items but also wraps and sandwiches so this would be a good spot for either breakfast or lunch.

What a great spot for breakfast and coffee! We stopped by Lori’s Café during the long weekend. While we found a table easily, there was a bit of a wait to place our order due to the queue — but it was well worth it. The service was excellent, and they brought the food right to our table.

The menu offers a wide variety of options, with plenty for vegetarians and vegans as well. We ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich, the Breakfast Sandwich on a Sesame Bagel with Egg, Cheese, and Sausage, and the "Too Healthy for Me" sandwich, along with some Lattes. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous — especially the Chicken Salad and "Too Healthy for Me" sandwiches.

Once you've secured a spot, you'll find Lori's inviting, with a small, first-come, first-served outdoor seating nook perfect for enjoying your meal al fresco in a beautiful garden seating. Lori's menu features an intriguing selection of breakfast and lunch items, including some excellent vegetarian options that go beyond the usual. On our visit, the lox and whitefish combo was an absolute showstopper. It was a spectacular, generously portioned arrangement of pastrami lox and whitefish, accompanied by all the classic trimmings. A truly memorable dish that left a lasting impression. The egg salad also proved to be delish, highlighting the kitchen's commitment to simple, well-executed flavors.

Beyond the fantastic food, what truly elevates the experience at Lori's are the people. The employees are genuinely happy and good souls, contributing to a wonderfully welcoming and positive atmosphere. Despite the prime location and high quality, Lori's remains reasonably priced, offering great value for a casual yet exceptional meal.
