Oceanova-The Spa at Ocean View

Whitney gave me a great massage. The rest is unbelievable. I called two weeks ago to schedule as I had a voucher that was given to me at Xmas. I told the receptionist it was expiring on 3-18. SINCE THERE were no openings until 3-19, SHE SAID THEY WOULD HONOR IT. When I went to check out, she said the voucher was no good bc it was from a third party (spa week). She never asked where the voucher was from. I told her that. Too bad I had to pay. So $110 later I left. I have been to this spa three times previously but won’t return. Very, very poor customer service and appreciation.so your employee never asked where the certificate was from and that is my fault?/

I’m leaving my experience only to let others know that if you are someone who does not like to wear a mask, then do not get the massage. I still left a five star review because this was my own fault. There is a note at the front door that clearly states that I may be asked to wear a mask. Also, the massage therapist told me prior to the massage that she wanted me to wear a mask. I agreed without clearly thinking it through. The first half of the massage was great, but when I rolled over on my back and wore the mask, it was extremely uncomfortable, and could not enjoy myself at all. This is not required by all of there massage therapists so make sure you check to make sure you don’t have to wear a mask prior to the massage. The staff was very friendly and a clean environment.

I went to Oceanova the other day first time. I don’t get massages very often, but I had a gift certificate that I wanted to use. I’m glad I went. It was a wonderful Swedish massage. Michelle my massage therapist was very personable, professional and and I felt wonderful when I got up off the table. I will be going back and I will be using Michelle. Michelle it still uses a mask. I hope she loses it the next time I go there.
