Porto Pizza & Grill Restaurant

Delivers on the promise(s)! Generous portions, excellent service, reasonable prices ... AND very good food! Exceeds expectations. Although the atmosphere is modest and family-friendly, don't be fooled into thinking this is just a pizza joint with pasta and burgers. Also, don't be disappointed if you can't have wine with your dinner; Dagsboro is "dry" except on Dupont Highway.

I try to keep in mind that it's tough having pizza out side of the New York Tri-state area because we have some of the best pizza around. Porto pizza is a great little place to have lunch but don't expect too much from their pizza. The sauce was a little bland, the cheese was greasy and the crust was like frozen pizza crust. But on the bright side, the salads we ordered were good and our waitress Julie was great! Some of the food that i saw come out of the kitchen also looked really good and would give that a shot next time I am around.

My daughter and I, and sometimes my art classmates come here quite often. The food and service has been good. Until last week. My daughter and i were hungry for a pepperoni pizza . The waiter put our order in and brought us our drinks. The pizza arrived, and had at least a half a cup of oil on top of the pizza . My daughter attempted to put a slice on the plate and before she could everything on top of the pizza slid off it was so oily and greasy. We’ve never had a bad pizza there before so we asked the waiter and he said he would go back and get them to make us another one . Then the poor waiter came out with a message from the owner saying they weren’t gonna make us another pizza and my daughter requested the owner . She came to our table with attitude and said it once it cools off a little it’ll be fine and my daughter picked up another slice and showed her how oily and greasy it was and that we’ve had good pizzas here before, but this one we were not gonna eat. The owner said well since ur not going to eat it and picked up a piece to prove once its cooler the pizza will be fine and all the ingredients slid off. We felt bad for the waiter because he was trying to give us good customer service but the owner didn’t , very disappointing. She she was very clear that she had no intention of solving the issue very poor management and customer service so my daughter and I walked out. Its a shame because we’ve enjoyed very good meals there over the last several years. Just don’t get the pizza.
