The Bellmoor Inn and Spa
My husband and I visited here for Valentine's weekend from Friday to Sunday. EVERY single thing about this hotel was phenomenal. Parking on site, greetings from the staff and smooth check in and check out. We were given a free cute mini bottle of champagne when we checked in. We stayed on the fourth flour with the jacuzzi tub fireplace suites. The robes they provided was the most soft and plush material my skin has ever felt. They also provided wine glasses, monogramed champagne flutes, a library across the hall with unlimited snacks and soft drinks. The complimentary breakfast was superb. I had the best muffins I've ever tasted in my life. They had so many options it was so hard to choose from. We had their lunch wraps as well, which were very tasty. To our surprise, they had a 50% off deal on Saturdays for the wraps so they were very cheap. We also booked a couples massage at the spa, which was amazing! The purpose of this trip was to have a relaxing, romantic weekend and we could not have been more impressed. We will definitely add this hotel to our yearly visit.

The Bellmoor Inn and Spa
To be fair, I did not stay at this hotel. My review is based solely on the pricing and my experience trying to book a room.
My wife and I go to Rehoboth Beach at least twice a year since 2007. We only live 90 minutes away, but like to stay in town for a couple of days. Anyway, I was looking at other hotels to stay at in Rehoboth and came across The Bellmoor. I liked what I saw on their website, and although the rooms are a little pricer than other hotels, it appears the place is much more luxurious. For a weekend getaway, I was willing to pay the extra.
What stopped me from completing my booking was the extra "fees" that seem to be attached to the bill. These are the facility fee, destination marketing fee, and social impact fee. All these fees combined are an EXTRA 19% on top of the room rate! And these fees are not noticeably defined as to what they are actually going towards during booking. I feel this is a bait and switch tactic the hotel industry is using to lure people in with reasonable room rates, only to tack on these undefined fees at the end of the booking process.
Just stop, stop with the fees and extras. Give me an all inclusive room rate, period. Don't list housekeeping, the pool, and use of the lobby coffee pot as a separate "fee". And if you are going to make it a fee, I should be able to decline it! Yes, I understand taxes are extra, but at least I know the taxes going to the state and local government, not just getting pocketed by the hotel. I'll be looking elsewhere this fall, there are other hotels in Rehoboth that don't add on ridiculous fees.

I recently stayed here for the first time with my mother and 2 small kids (4 years and 18 months) and it was a very welcoming stay. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to my kids. I know sometimes kids can be seen as more of a nuisance, especially in a fancier/not chain hotel and spa - but both the staff and other guests were all so friendly and genuine. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to visiting again and trying their spa services!
