The Rookery South Course

We were only visiting for the week and thought it would be nice to check out a local course. Surprisingly, the public course was extremely well maintained despite the stormy weather that entire week and looked beautiful near sunset. While I didn’t shoot too well, the holes were enjoyable and loved some of the long par 3s.

overall just decent. we were running late to the course payed at 7:57 we’re at the tee box at 8:01 and the starter said he let the other 2 randoms in our group tee off and made us wait 10 minutes until a slow 4 some showed up for the next tee time. we could of easily tee’d off and either caught up to the group or play as 2some. and he was pretty rude about it so it wasn’t all that pleasant before we even got off on the first hole. as far as golf goes it was decent at best. i would never play here on a weekend again and maybe would stop in for a quick 9 or hit the range during the week. the front 9 was pretty cool with some gettable par 4s back 9 was one of the worst layouts i’ve ever seen on a golf course. the place has a lot of potential if it were re routed and up kept a little more overall everyone else we dealt with on property was very helpful and nice. just the starter ruined our morning.

Well maintained and fun course at a reasonable rate. Will be playing here again soon! 🏌⛳️
